Derek Lee’s Speech:

 

Good morning honored guest, parents, staff, Mrs. Dietz, Mrs. German and of course Student of 2015-2016.

 

Hello my name is Derek Lee and I am here to share my story about how my life changed in elementary, kindergarten to 5th grade. When I was in Kindergarten to 2nd grade, I was in korea. But I never went to pre-k.

 

In the middle of the 2nd year of school, we moved to Florida because in korea it was really hard to work at school. After we moved I had to go to 2nd grade again in Florida because I am an year older in korea. After we moved, I went to the school. When I went to the classroom with my mom I didn’t know what to do because there were a lot of kids in the room. Then I was nervous. My mom told me to sit down in the chair with beside the computer and my teacher gave me headphones. After that my mom left the room. My teacher told me to listen to the alphabetical order because I did not know english, but I knew some english. After the first day of school my teacher got an assistant teacher to help me speak and read words. At recess I had no friends to play with. My teacher said to a boy to come here and play with me. He was nice and friendly. Everyday I play with him and after recess I learn more english. At the end of the school I said goodbye to my friend and few days later, I moved to New York.

 

In the 3rd year of school, I met a korean friend. We always play together, we go home together, we met at korean/saturday school and we even met at church, I was surprised. After 3rd grade I had to move again because me and my sister were complaining about how there is a lot of homework. So we moved to Maryland.

 

On the 4th year of school, I was in Mrs. Wise’s class. I met some new friends. My first friend was Bryan, then Derek Gomez, and lastly Darian. We had so much fun everyday.

 

On the 5th year of school, I was in Mr. Fitzpatrick’s class. I came 2 weeks after the first day of school because I went to China. When I went to class I saw my friends from fourth grade. A few months later, I learned about Mr. Fitz that he taught us a good job and have a good education and also he is the funniest and weirdest teacher. Everyday he was funny because he always make jokes on people. I will always remember you Mr. Fitz.

 

I am here leaving 5th grade and going to sixth grade. This summer I am moving to china because I wanted to learn chinese. After Chinese it’s Japanese. I will study hard until I reach my goal.

Police Detective by Derek Lee

Police Detective is an important job in U.S.A. Police Detective are Detective that they conduct interviews observe the suspects and many more. There many reasons about Police Detectives.

To become a Police Detective, you will need to be educated, train to shoot guns and try to track down people. Police and Detectives train one or two years. They have tools like handcuffs, taser, and more.

First reason about Police Detectives is that they get payed average annual salary of $82,060. Last reason about Police Detective is that they must have at least a high school diploma to become a Police Detective.

In Conclusion Police Detectives is an important job in U.S.A. It is because they conduct interviews, observe the suspect and many more. Police Detective is a good job for your career. I think Police Detective is going to here in 20 years because if there is no Police Detectives then Police Officers will fail. It is because Police Detectives are Detectives that observes the suspect and conduct interview to send it to the Police Officer.

It was 1680, Spring, an evil Wizard was living in the house on maple street. He had a lot of potions and spells that can be dangerous or safe. Then suddenly he saw a Dove in the window. The Wizard opened the window and saw a Dove. He brang the Dove into house to duplicate the Dove. The Wizard had an EVIL plan. First he put the Dove into the duplicator machine. After that he got some potions and spilled it into the Dove. Suddenly the Dove had so much powers that he was out of control. Then the Dove duplicated 100 million. The Wizard was shocked, her plans were ruined. The 100 million doves attacked the Wizard. The Wizard had died and the doves taken over.

 

It was 1980, Spring, Luigi moved into the house on maple street. He was kind of scared because of his mansion that he used to own with ghosts in it. Luigi checked all the rooms to see if there was ghosts. But only one room had wall papers of 100 doves. Then he closed the door and went downstairs to the kitchen to eat. After Luigi ate then he went to his brother’s house in the city, Mario.

 

It was afternoon Luigi came back home, but he felt something breezy upstairs in the room with wall papers of 100  doves. He went upstairs and opened the door to check the room. Then he saw a window open. Luigi was kind of scared, it all began when someone left the window open. So almost everyday the window opens up when he comes back from home and he had to close the window.

The next day Luigi putted some cameras to see who keeps on opening the window. After he came back from the restaurant he rushed upstairs to get the camera, came back downstairs to see what happened. But nothing happened or nobody opened the window. The only thing that he can think of, Professor E. Gadd. He called Professor E. Gadd to come to his house. Professor E. Gadd was a scientist and an inventor. He built the Poltergust 3000 which he gave it to Luigi (The Poltergust 3000 is a vacuum cleaner that sucks thing and can turn into a backpack). He waited about 6 hours, then somebody knocked the door.

 

Luigi opened the door and saw Professor E. Gadd with his backpack. They went into the living room to talk. Luigi told everything what happened but Professor E. Gadd can’t help because he has other jobs to do. The next day he went upstairs and into the room silently. Then Luigi saw a Dove in the window. Suddenly the Dove opened the window with its powers. After he opened the window Luigi closed the door silently. He was shocked but it was battle time.

 

Luigi got his Poltergust 3000 and went upstairs. He opened the door silently but he did not saw anything except the window opened. He looked  out the window then suddenly he felt so much shake in the house. Luigi thought it was an earthquake but it was the house moving up, he was super scared. While it was going up he closed every window but he kept on falling because he was in air. Luigi went downstairs and saw a staircase going down. He never saw the basement before. So he was going to check the basement.

 

When he went to the basement he felt that he was in space. He went to the window and saw the planet earth. Then he saw a Dove sitting in an engine with a timer. The timer was in 1 minutes and Luigi had to stop it. The only problem was the Dove. Luigi tried to punch at the Dove but he teleported and hit Luigi. Luigi was dizzy and the Dove teleported nowhere. Suddenly the timer was in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, KABOOOOOM.

 

Then Luigi woke up in the sand. He was surprised that he was in earth and he survived the explosion. He stood up but he didn’t know where he was. So he explored the island. Luigi saw a bridge in the forest with a sign that says HAWAII. Luigi had never went to Hawaii. Then he went through the bridge. Luigi kept walking and walking but saw two paths. The one on the left says Clean way and the one on the right says Dirty way. Luigi chose the Dirty way because someone might have switched the direction. Luigi checked the Dirty way and clean. But the Clean way was dirty. So he switched the directions in their right position and moved on to the Clean way.

 

After he went in the Clean way Luigi saw a big town. There were a lot of people shopping, swimming, and more. Then he saw a Dove teleported by somewhere. Luigi had its chance to catch the Dove but he teleported nowhere again. At night Luigi went to the motel and got a room to rest. He got his Poltergust 3000 and got some food to eat. He packed his stuff for tomorrow’s adventure. Then Luigi went to sleep like a rock.

 

At morning Luigi woke up, ate, and got ready for his next adventure. Today he talked to some people to ask where the airport was. He went to the airport to get his ticket and got on the plane. He was going back to Maryland. After the 8 hours, 32 minutes ride to Maryland he got off the plane. Then he rushed out of the airport to go to the house on maple street. But he had to call someone to pick him up. So he called Mario and Luigi waited for about 4 hours. Then Mario came with a fancy car. Luigi got in the car with his Poltergust 3000. He told Mario to go to his house.

 

After 2 hours of driving Mario dropped him off in Luigi’s house. But there was no house, it was just dug house. Luigi turned around and Mario’s car was gone. He remembered that he had a car too. Luigi ran to the parking lot to see if there was his car. Then he saw his car sitting in the middle of the parking lot with no cars parked. He went to his Poltergust 3000 and got his car key. Luigi got into his car but there was no gas. Luigi pushed his car for 1 hour then saw a gas station. But he was too tired to put the gas in the car. So he began to go to sleep in the car.

 

In the afternoon somebody knocked a lot on the window in Luigi’s car and he woke up. Luigi opened the window then asked the person what time it was. The person did not respond him because he was mad that he slept in the car by the gas station. Then he got surprised because he slept for 4 hours. So he went out the car and got the gas from the gas station to put it in the car. After his car had gas, he paid for the gas and drove quickly back into his old home.

 

When he arrived to his old home he went inside to check if someone was inside. But then Luigi got teleported in the park and there was the Dove, watching Luigi. Suddenly the ground began to shake, the Dove had white eyes. But it was not an earthquake, it was the earth splitting apart in half. Then Luigi turned on his Poltergust 3000, easy, to suck the Dove. But it did not work so he turned on medium and the Dove was almost in the Poltergust 3000. Then Luigi turned on hard but the Dove was on the tip of the vacuum. As the earth was splitting apart, Luigi pressed the EXTREME button on the Poltergust 3000 and sucked the Dove inside the Poltergust 3000. After he sucked the Dove, he turned off the vacuum then saw the Dove stuck in the Poltergust 3000. But the earth was still splitting apart.

 

People were screaming and freaking out. Luigi kept thinking and thinking then got a solution. He turned on the EXTREME button on the Poltergust 3000 and tried to pull the other half of the earth to stick it together. Then the problem was solved. 1 hour later everybody was happy.

 

Luigi got a new house and told Mario to live here with him.

 

“Yes” Mario said.
1 years later Luigi and Mario were heros. They had to save Princess Peach because Bowser always kidnaps her.

Derek Lee’s Clear Spring Park opinion

In my opinion Clear Spring Park should be positive to be clean, places to play and many more. There are reasons why it should be positive.

One reason why Clear Spring Park should be positive is that kids can play in the park without people bothering them. Another reason why Clear Spring Park should be positive is that to have a clean air and no smoking to young lungs.

Last reason why Clear Spring Park should be positive is that they should have more trash and recycle because for example, people always throw away junks in the floor.

In conclusion Clear Spring Park should be positive to be clean, places to play and many more.

Derek Lee’s opinion

In my opinion kids should get devices to help them where they are when they get lost. There are two reasons why kids should have devices.

 

One reason why kids should have devices is that kids should use their device that they might be lost somewhere far so their parents can track their kids.

 

Last reason why kids should have devices is that kids should use on their device on school days to call their parents or somebody that they know at the end of the day.

 

In conclusion, kids should get devices to help them to call and text to their parents to know whether or not they are lost.

Car Safety Movement

 The Auto Safety has affected every single adults in the world. In 2004 people began getting hurt and died of car crashes. There are three people that helped and invented.

 Samuel Alderson was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 21, 1914. Samuel is dead now. Samuel Alderson was an inventor best known for his development of the crash test dummy a device that, during the last half of the twentieth century was widely used by automobile manufacturers to test the reliability of automobile seat belts and other safety protocols.

 Ralph Nader was born in Winsted, Connecticut on February 27, 1934. Ralph is still alive now. Ralph Nader received an AB magna cum laude degree from Princeton University in 1955. He also received a LLB with distinction degree from Harvard University in 1958. Ralph Nader began his career as a lawyer in Hartford, Connecticut in 1959 and from 1961-1963. In 1965-1966 he received the Nieman Fellows award and was named one of ten Outstanding Young Men of Year by the U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce in 1967. Between 1967-1968 he returned to Princeton as a lecturer. He continues to speak at colleges and universities across the United States.

 Henry Ford was born into a farm family in 1863 near Dearborn, Mich., and showed an early interest in mechanics. He fixed neighbors’ watches and built his first steam engine at 15. He tinkered constantly, and as America’s first automobiles emerged, Ford focused on internal combustion engines. John W. Lambert invented the nation’s first gasoline-powered automobile in 1891; just five years later, Ford unveiled his own “horseless carriage,” which he named the “Quadricycle,” because it ran on four bicycle tires. The Quadricycle, which steered with a tiller much like a boat, had just two speeds with no reverse.Ford at the time was chief engineer at Thomas Edison’s thriving Edison Illuminating Company, but his venturesome spirit led him to strike out on his own to try his hand at automotive engineering. Ford left with the encouragement of Edison, who later became one of his closest friends.
