My Speech

Good morning,Mrs.Dietz,Mrs.German,Staff and Teachers of Daly,families,and 5th grade Class of 2015.My name is Jamour,and I’m in Mr.Fitzpatrick Class.

I was really happy that my mom said I could  go to elementary school.  I went to Springhill Lake Elementary School.  It was a good school but I was little mad because I had to wake up at 6:00 am,so I can make it to school by 7:45 am.At school, it was so fun,I got to meet new people,I got to learn  math and reading.I stayed in Springhill Lake for 2 months and it was the best time of my life but one day I got a surprise from my mom.My mom said we were moving.I was suprised that we were moving and what made me really mad that  I had to go to a new school,and get brand new friends.  We packed our stuff and moved to Germantown.

 

I spent two more days at Springhill Lake Elementary as my mom signed all the papers so I could go to Daly.After two days my mom took me to Daly.My first day was the best.  I got to meet Aniyah, Omar,and My new teacher Ms.Aub.  Omar and Aniyah were so nice to me.  Now I’m in 5th grade and  life is sweet.I get a cool,computer geek,camara guy for a teacher.Bout that was a long time ago .In 5th grade I got to meet Kentrell, Kyla, Matthew, Edwin, Zhara, Dayanara, Natalya, Preston, Pooyan,Shia, and more people.Sometimes Mr.Fitz would make fun of me, I didn’t mind because when he did he made me laugh.When I’m in Mr.fitz class I felt confident and happy.In Mr.Fitz class you always had  somthing fun to do.When you were in his class you had alot of fun memories.And I will never forget them.

 

After elementary I’m going to Neelsville Middle School,then go to Clarksburg High School, be in the STEM program classes, study design and physics. And Graduate.Then go to College and get my master’s degree to civil engineering.

 

Now that my time is up I would like to thank Mr.Fitz for everything he did.For helping me to become a better learner.But now in a few months we are going to Middle School and we will  be starting a chapter in life.So don’t be nervous we are just going to school and we will get to meet new people and old friends,so don’y be nervous.Now  have a great summer!!! and Good luck in Middle School.

 

200 Years as a Cobbler

There have been many changes in the last 200 years in my shoe business.Some of the changes include Technology . In 1815 when  the company started we only had one material and it was leather.1815 you didn’t get your exact size.1815 you had to go to the store to get your shoes.1815 you could only get one style.1815 you only got two colors black and brown.In the 1815 there was no internet so you couldn’t buy the shoes online.In the 1815 there were only one style and you couldn’t buy clothing by the shoe maker because they only made shoes.

 

Now, in 2015 we can use the internet. In 2015 you could buy from online. In 2015 there are different colors.2015 you could buy clothing online.2015 there are commercials on tv.2015 there are different colors.2015 you can use different materials like polyester and cotton inside the shoes. We can now print advertisements on newspapers more easier.We have better tech than in 1815.Now we have different styles like basketball shoes and soccer shoes.

I believe that that technology .Now we have computers to put advertisements.We can now put ads on tv.Technology has imporve since 1815 we have Iphones,Ipad,Apple,Samsung.Now we can do million stuff with technology,we can now click on a bottom and a car will come up in front of me.We can deliver now with robots.So that’s how technology imporve my company form 1815.

 

Civil Engineer

I think Civil Engineer is a cool,boring, and fun job.It’s cool because you can use alot of cool stuff.It’s is boring because somtime you have to do boring math.It is fun because you can make the tallest buliding in the world and you could work with fun people.

 

To become a civil engineer you need to complete bachelor degree in civil engineering or one of its specialties.  A program by ABET is needed in order to gain licensure,which is needed to work as a professional engineer.  Bachelor’s degree programs in civil engineering or civil engineering technology include coursework in math, statistics, engineering mechanics, system and fluid dynamics, among other courses,depending on the specialty. Courses include a mix of traditional classroom learning,working in a lab,and fieldwork. The Important Qualities Civil engineer need are decision making skills, leadership skills , math skills, problem solving skills, writing skills, and organizational skills.

 

Civil engineer generally work indoors in offices.However,they sometime spend time outdoors at construction sites so they can monitor operations or solve problems at the site.Sometimes civil engineer travel to work on large engineering projects in other countries.Civil engineer work full time.Engineers who direct projects may need to work extra hours to monitor progress of the overall projects,to ensure that the design meets requirements, and to ensure that deadlines are met.They design,construct,supervise,operate,and maintain large construction projects and systems,including roads,buildings,airports,tunnels,dams,bridges and system for water supply and sewage treatment.Many civil engineers work in  design,construction,research,and education.

 

Civil engineer get paid a lot but they’re different type of engineer who  work for different people.Nonresidential construction get paid the least.They get paid $73,740 dollar in a year.Federal government,excluding postal service get paid the most.They get paid $89,440 dollar in a year.But most engineer get paid $86,200 a year or even more.


Civil Engineer will be here 50 years because they build building,road,bridges,and maybe they can make something that help us in the future that why they will be here in 50 years.There’s nothing I believe in more strongly than getting young people interested in science and engineering, for a better tomorrow, for all humankind. – Bill Nye

Prince Puggly of Spud and the Kingdom of Spiff

Prince Puggly is about when the prince receive a letter to the ball but he think when he goes to the ball the Spiffs will take one look at him and laugh him out of their kingdom.But then Puggly meets Frannie(actually Francesca),the bookish Princess of Spiff,and together the two set out to Frannie’s Spiffian countrymen an absurd lesson in style.My favorite part about the book was when the Spuds ask Puggly O’Bungleton to be there Prince.

I think the countries that want the North Pole should not fight over it because first the North Pole is mostly water so you can’t put nothing there.Second I know there is oil but if those countries take it all no one will have oil and when we really need it we will have nothing.Third there only a little land for the person that get’s the land.So that why think countries should not fight over the North Pole.

CAPTAIN TORY _______________ He swung his lantern three times and slowly the schooner appeared.

I was just sleeping when I heard a knock on the door.I got up,put on my robe, put my Jordan Super .Fly 3,and open the door.There was this guy with a beard,a long black  jacket,and a lantern..He said I had to go with him to Inner harbor ,Baltimore.

 

“I ask him what his name was but he didn’t answer back.So I follow him to this 1951 Harly Davidson Motorcyle and sat in the side car.He gave me a brown helmet.”

 

“He start the engine and he said his name was Captain Tory the third.”

 

“We will go  to the Inner harbor,” we will get on the schooner,and start our journey to Quebec,Canada.”said Captain Tory.

 

Then Captain Tory started to drive forward to the main roads but there was holiday traffic so we got stuck in traffic.Captain Tory  press on the pedal,we pass all the car ,and it was like magic how we got to the harbor so fast.

We finally made it to the harbor.I step out of the sidecar and follow him to the dock.He swung his lantern three times and slowly the schooner appeared.

”Captain Tory said the ships name was Bomber.”

 

Captain Tory call a name and a long light brown plank drop on  the wet dock.I couldn’t see the plank because the harbor was full with fog like a big blanket of snow just cover the harbor.So I holded Captain Tory’s hand all the way to the ship.When we made it to the ship,there were a girl,a women,two boys one looks like he is 11 and the other I think is 9.I ask who they were and he said that it was his family.

 

He said “ This is Gabriella,Tommy,George,and my wife Carrie.”

 

“Cool,” replied Carlos

  “Hi my name is Gabriella,your cute,” replied Gabriella

 

“Thanks Gabrielle,”replied Carlos

 

Captain Tory replied“So lets go to Quebec,Canada and there we will start our journey to the North Pole,”.

 

“Ok Captain Tory,” I replied with amazement.

 

Captain Tory headed to the ship’s wheel and yelled out “Way Anchor” to George and Tommy.Then Captain Tory yelled to me and Gabriella to open the sails.Then we started to float and we started our journey.

 

I went up to Captain Tory side and ask if we were really going to the North Pole but Gabriella interrupt me and said “Dad can I see the map and Carlos yes we are going to the North Pole.”

 

“Thanks” I replied with a grumpy sigh.

 

“But why the North Pole” I said.

 

Captain Tory replied “Because Carlos you haven’t sent a letter to santa or even helped  your family to make the cookies.

 

I just sigh and went down to the kitchen to ask Carrie something.

 

When I made it to  the kitchen it smelled like my mom’s  homemade Cookies n Cream cake.Carrie saw me entering the kitchen and ask me if I wanted some cake.I couldn’t resist the offer so I said yes.

 

Captain Tory yelled out “Anchor Away “ to George and Tommy.

I was in so much surprised to hear Captain Tory say that.”That That That’s not possible” I yelled out to Captain Tory.

 

I race up to the Captain and ask him how we made it to Quebec so fast.but he just pass me and went down to the docks. I ask him again and this time he answer he said “Do you believe in ghost”.

 

I was shock when he ask me that question but I just answer no and went down to the docks.Then from nowhere these 3 hot rod appear.A 2015 Ferrari F12berlinetta,2015 Lamborghini Aventador,and a 2015 Maserati GranTurismo.Captain Tory said “Carlos and Gabrielle on Maserati,George and Tommy Lamborghini,and me and my wife Ferrari.I followed Captain Tory to Place de la Cité parking lot (2600 Boulevard Laurier, Sainte-Foy, QC G1V 4T3, Canada).

   I started the car followed the front car all the way into a tunnel.Then weird things happen my body felt like it I weigh 500 pounds,it started to get louder.Then finally all the thing I felt stop,I open my eye and saw elves.Next I saw Captain Tory family sitting next to this guy with a white beard and a santa claus hat wait a minute “SANTA” I yelled with all my might.

 

I was so happy to see Santa Claus but I couldn’t believe he was real.I came out of the car and went to shock his hand.His hand was warm and smell like cookies.He ask me “What would you like for christmas”

 

“I would like to believe” I said.

 

“The only way to believe is through your heart Carlos” he replied.

 

“To represent what I believe I would like a bell for Christmas”I whisper into his ear.

 

He raise the bell out of his pocket and yelled”This will be the first gift of Christmas”

 

I came of his lap and ask santa how I was gonna get home.He just said ring your bell 3 times and your be home.I rang my bell 3 times and I was home.My brother,sister,mom.dad,little brother were all around me.They said that I was knock out by this book that was named The Polor Express.I was so surprise to know that it was a dream.I told my family all that happen in my dream.My family just said it was ok,it was just dream,go back to sleep now ok.

 

I said “Ok”.and went back to sleep.

 

The next morning I race down stair said good morning to all my family member and open all of  my gift.My last gift I open and it was the bell I got from Santa.My brothers and sister heard the bell but my mom and dad didn’t.It sound that if you believe you can hear the bell.But even my sibling stop hearing it when they got older but I still hear the ting.If you ever believe in something keep believe.

Clear Spring Park Opinion

Clear Spring Park was made on 1981.Clear Spring Park is on 20101 Scenery Dr. Germantown, MD 20876. It is a small park but a good place to have fun.It has a playground, 2 basketball court,softball/baseball field, a soccer field,and a pavillion for shelter.It near Captain James E. Daly Elementary School. The baseball field and soccer field are across the road to Daly Elementary.

 

Clear Spring Park is a positive human characteristic because you can play basketball with your friend and talk to your friends.You can have party and spend time with your family.You can have a easter egg hunt at the park.It a relaxing and peaceful  place to do your homework but sometimes people do swearing.Parent don’t have to stay home and  do nothing they come to Clear Spring Park and talk to other parent as there kids are play.The pavillion gives protection from the weather.Sometimes the ice-cream truck come so if your been playing basketball for a hour you can buy ice-cream.Clear Spring Park has safety sign so you know not to smoke at the park.There is recycling so  we don’t have to throw everything in the trash.When kids go to the park they can be active.


For these reason why Clear Spring Park is a positive human characteristic.Also Clear Spring Park is the best place to play baseball.”Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.”–John F. Kennedy.

Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library

In this book you meet Kyle,Akimi,and a lot more of people.Mr.Lemoncello is a game maker.The new library manager ask Mr.L to help make this awsome library.So Mr.L makes the libarary and he picks 12 kid to escape from he library he made.Winning an invention to the openimg-night lock-on at the new library took a lot of work and some luck.Getting home will be a whole other story.My favorite part was when Mr.L called all the kids names.
