Samuel’s Speech

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, Mrs. Dietz and Mrs. German, and the 5th grade class of 2015-2016

 

My name is Samuel Kabba and i’m here to talk about my amazing journey from Pre-K to 5th grade.

 

First off Pre-K, the first educational step of my life. I never knew how much an impact it would be to start my learning career until I made it to my first day. I didn’t know anybody there, it was a new experience for me and then suddenly after a few weeks I meet my first friend ever “Eric”. I also learned my ABCs.I also learned how to work with others for the first time and actually engage in something without the presence of my parents.

 

Next, Kindergarten. After gaining a few skills from Pre-K, kindergarten was a walk in the park. It was at Matsunaga Elementary School my first elementary school ever. I learned some new material while having a great time and making new friends.

 

Third, First grade. It was nothing like kindergarten and Pre-K. It was actually harder. I realized that I had to do a lot of thinking and focusing. It was not all fun and games. I really wanted to give up but my teacher and my parents taught me to “never say never” and that if I try my best, that I would do just fine. Knowing that I had confidence in myself I could make it in first grade.

 

In Addition, Second grade was mostly working  hard to be the best student i can be. I became bolder by always asking questions when i had any, also challenging myself to the best of my ability. I actually started helping others surprisingly.

 

Eventually i went to Third grade  Third grade was really brought the smartnest out of me, i improved on all subjects, worked really hard, and made more friends like Andre, Neel, and Jacob.  

 

Furthermore, the summer before fourth grade i sadly had to move and leave my neighborhood and best friends. Here i am transferred to Daly Elementary School. The first day i was very nervous because i didn’t know anybody and i wondered if i would get a teacher i would like. As time went on i gained friends like Abby, Raiyan, Gerald, Chris, and more with my teacher also being nice. I had a really good time and it was a good experience because by moving schools i experience more new things.

 

However 5th grade came along and my teacher Mr.Fitzpatrick was the most funniest, fun, interesting, and weird teacher ever. He would tell us very interesting stories about  his life, well some of it. We would always do some cool projects like making roller coasters, spacesuits, our own websites and even creating our own companies. The people in my class were also cool with some people being in my fourth grade class and some new people like Raiyan, Bryan, Devonis, Derek Gomez, Daylon, Derek Lee and Darian. Another thing about 5th grade is that I got to be a safety patrol with, Bryan, Darian, Devonis. With them being patrols ,it makes the job more fun. Overall I was so lucky to be in a class that is so cool and have memories that i will never forget.
So here we are the class of 2015-2016 leaving this school, hoping to succeed in middle school at Neillsville, then high school at Clarksburg High School. And finally going to a great college, getting and job as a police officer , and furthering my future with a family. But there is something we still all need to know that this is the next step in our lives. So we should all know that education is not preparation for life, education is life itself. Police Detective By Samuel

Police Detective is an important job for the world. A police detective combines enforcing the law, arresting criminals, prevent crimes, help the community, and effort everyday. Every person in the world needs at least one Police Detective in their everyday lives.

To become a Police Detective you will have to be educated, you will have to know your duties, how much money you get, and the tech and tools you need.

First, Police detectives duties in the world are to Examine crime scenes to obtain clues and evidence, such as loose hairs, fibers, clothing, or weapons. Also, Police officer participate or assist in raids and arrests, and to Maintain surveillance of establishments to obtain identifying information on suspects.

Next, Police Detectives duties are to train really hard to be good at the job. For example, Employees that want to be a police detective usually need one or two years of training which involves a on the job experience and training with experienced workers.

But before they train police detectives need their education starting which means not being a dropout and to start school from the lower grades to the high. Also their going to have to train in vocational schools that is related to the job and have a associate degree while some need a
bachelor degree. Once they get their education in school they get what they need to know in a police department by work related skill, knowledge, and experience.

Now when police detective do all this stuff like catch bad guys and help the community they get money out of it like a salary a the amount a police detective gets is about $122, 290 a year which is quite enough to provide for families and keep up with their lives

Just as many people need tools in their careers, police detectives also need tools such as, Police Guns, Police Shotgun, Police Bulletproof Vest, Police Duty Belt, Police Handcuffs, Police Taser Gun, Police Baton, Police Mace, Police Extra Magazines, Police Radio, Police Flashlight, Police Knife, and Police Boots. These are the many things a police detective needs to do what they do everyday.

Just like tools, technology is another thing police detectives need. By NIJ sponsoring a good amount of research and development of equipment and technology for police. Then Police detectives will get all the amount of high tech they need which gives a great effect on the community because with technology like that will keep the people out of danger.

Like i stated before, a police detective is an important job which gives you education, tools, tech, duties, and salary. In my opinion i know that this job will be here in 20 years because there is always going to be a crime or a citizen that needs help so there is always going to be a police detective to help. Also, in 20 years what if there is no police detectives, who knows what will happen. So in the end of it all a police detective is a special career that will be around for a long time.

The House On Maple Street By Samuel

This story takes place in Md 13011 Jamieson Pl on maple street.The father Billy got a great job opportunity . Billy just got a job there so the family had to move there. The job was well paying and they got a nice place. His job was working for Alstrasoft, a multi million business.

But things didn’t go too well with 12 year old Jack, and 14 year old Amber. They had to move schools and leave all their friends to start a new live in Maryland. But there mom Melissa was also having a hard time adjusting to the new life, she had to leave her job that was strongly keeping the family going.

Jamieson Pl was a quiet neighborhood, it had beautiful trees surrounding the area, birds chirping everywhere, and it was an amazing place for any family. The schools in that area were also quiet and amazing. On their first day in there new house the coopers were settling in, unpacking moving stuff around, things like that.

 

Jack and Amber’s first day at their new schools was ok, they made a few friends, there classes were great, and the schools just felt so alive.

 

One friend that Jack made wanted to hang out with him so he asked him “where do you live?”

 

Jack said “13011 Jamieson Pl on maple street”

 

“Really i’ve heard rumors about that place they say that a mad scientist used to live there and was studying rockets, things went bad and while testing a rocket by scraping it to the bottom house the house shoots up in the air and was never seen again. But somehow 3 days, the house suddenly drops down at the exact place it was before it went up and the owner of the house puts it on sale”.

 

“What happened to the scientist?”

 

“ nobody knows”

 

“That’s a weird story” “ but it’s true” “whatever see you tomorrow” “ok”.

 

Back in California, most of the coopers neighbors had heard that rumor before and tried to warn them. But they didn’t listen to the warning. They were determined to move to Maryland.

 

The week went by and it was the weekend, so the coopers decided to go on a little outing to celebrate their big move. First they went for ice cream. Then they went to the beach. Finally, they went out to eat dinner.

 

The next day the coopers went on with their day as usual, but that night something strange happened.

 

The house started rumbling, everything started shaking, things moved around, everything was getting destroyed. There was loud sound in the area. The coopers were scared. They didn’t know what to do, and suddenly it started a countdown, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Blast off.

 

The house shoot up in the air with amazing rockets underneath the house, It was a perfect lift-off. It went higher, and higher until the coopers were able to see Jupiter, They were in SPACE.

 

Everything just flashed before their eyes, The coopers were in space and it was strange, they were still breathing. Somehow they got oxygen from the inside of their house.

 

So the coopers were living in space, and while they were not freaking out about them being in space, they were actually enjoying live up there.

 

But on their third day up there disaster struck, they started to lose air so they decided to jump out of there house and attempt to land on earth us and they did. When the coopers landed the house follow with them landing on the same spot it was before. So the coopers quickly packed their bags and moved back to California and learned a very valuable lesson, to always listen to warnings when it could affect your life.

 

          

 

Michael Jackson

My Opinion Essay

 

Michael Jackson is greatest musician that ever lived because he is a great American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actor.

 

First, Mj should be considered as a great musician because his humble beginnings started when he was in a group called the Jackson 5 which included him and his four older brother Jackie,Tito,Jermaine, and Marlon that set a chart record when its first four singles—“I Want You Back (1969), “ABC (1970), “The Love You Save (1970), and I´ll Be There  (1970)—peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

 

Next, Between 1972, when his solo career began, and 1975, Michael released four solo studio albums with Motown: Got To Be There (1972), Ben (1972), Music & Me (1973), and Forever, Michael (1975). “Got To Be There and “Ben, the title tracks from his first two solo   albums, both became successful singles, as did a remake of Bobby Days “Rockin Robin.

 

Third, He’s the best because he has the best selling album of all time with his album Thriller and He has multiple Guinness World Records, 13 Grammy Awards , the Grammy Legend Award, The Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award , 26 American Music Awards—more than any other artist—including the “Artist of the Century” and “Artist of the 1980s”, 13 number-one singles in the United States during his solo career.

 

Also, A defining point in Jackson’s career took place on March 25, 1983, when he reunited with his brothers for a legendary live performance, which was taped at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, for Motown 25 : Yesterday, Today, Forever, an NBC television special. The show aired on May 16, 1983, to an estimated audience of 47 million viewers, and featured the Jacksons and other Motown stars.The show is best remembered for Jackson’s solo performance of “Billie Jean”, which earned Jackson his first Emmy nomination.

 

And Then, In 1980, Jackson won three awards at the American Music Awards for his solo efforts: Favorite Soul/R&B Album, Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist, and Favorite Soul/R&B Single for “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”.He also won Billboard Year -End  awards for Top Black Artist and Top Black Album, and a Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for 1979 with “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”. In 1981 Jackson was the American Music Awards winner for Favorite Soul/R&B Album and Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist

 

In Conclusion, as so he has passed away everyone still likes his music as if he was alive. His music will live on forever.

Samuel’s Winter Break Event

It was an OK Monday morning in the Kabba household. Samuel got out of bed as usual, brushed my teeth went downstairs. Samuel ate fruity pebbles and was full as anyone who goes to McDonald. So Samuel went on the TV and was on it all day. Until night came when his mom surprised Samuel with a fire tablet and with a little boy from across the street. The little boy was named Michael and his mom said that Samuel and his brother will have to take care of him from Monday to Thursday. So the next day came and since Michael got up at around 8:00 we had to fix him cereal and when he was done with the cereal disaster struck. Michael started throwing pillows, messing up the floor, and destroying everything. But the good thing is the he goes to bed at 9:00, literally Mike was knocked out by 8:59 and sleeping was a breeze. So Samuel and his brother Jonathan was able to get some sleep because they were as a dog sleeping on a bed. Wednesday came along and Samuel and Jonathan got up at 8:00 and everything from yesterday repeated itself. The kid went berserk, Samuel would literally pull out his hair if he had any. But at 9:00 mike had his rest and Samuel and Jonathan got there rest. Thursday was here and it was time for Michael the leave and when Samuel’s mom came to pick him up we were so happy. When they went out the door we were jumping for joy. So that was Samuel’s week before Samuel had to go back to school on Monday.

 

Similes: Samuel ate Fruity Pebbles and was full as anyone who goes to McDonald.  

They were as a dog sleeping on the bed.
