Hello Middle School

Good morning parents,guardians and teachers + staff also Mrs.Dietz and Mrs.German. My name is Aniyah Monae Groves and I’m going to tell you about my childhood life and then my elementary years.

 

When I was 5 years old and it was my first time in school I was excited as a hyper bee I met 5 best friends and their names were Shia Jamour Pooyan and Natalya also Kyla whenever I was sad mad or nervous they made me come over it they made me smile laugh also they made me think hard they told me to NEVER GIVE UP.

 

They also had my back they never turned on me we were always there for each other when we needed each other. When I was in first grade I met a girl named Joanna and she was on my track team and me and her was really close friends we were on the same event whenever I lost she always was there for me like she would never leave my side. When I was in second grade i met a girl named Dayanara and Briana they were so funny and smart especially dayanara she was so funny she made me cry but Briana the reason why she was so funny is because she was quiet and she did weird + funny things sometimes.

 

When I was in second grade I met a girl named Natalya and she was my BFFADANWS one time me and Natalya had a sleepover and we had so much fun we slid down the steps together with a blanket and pillow but it was funny because my grandma yelled at us and it was funny because she was laughing to. It’s was one of the best days in my life and now me and her are best friends and I hope we grow up and be best friends still. When I was in third grade I met a girl named Dayanara and she was just a friend of mines she was funny,kind,weird, and pretty she was too nice and then me and her came best friends and now we are best friends and she will be my best friends when we grow up.

 

When I was in fourth grade I met 3 guys named Shia Pooyan and Jamour. Pooyan was a smart and kind also a very good soccer player and funny friend to me Shia was a Cool Funny Basketball playing freak!! Jamour was calm funny very smart and very good at basketball. When I came to fifth grade I had a really good friend and his name was Zuri he was Kind,Nice,Funny,Cool, And also he was very good at basketball and he had a very good type of shoe game and style of clothes.

 

He had my back he was very truthful to me he never lied he always helped me and had my back. Zuri would never walk away when I needed him. I also had another friend and his name was Kentrell,Kentrell was Funny,Cool,Honest,Awesome, and very good at soccer he never left me when I needed him he had my back. I remember when I first met Zuri and Kentrell I first I thought I wasn’t going to get along with them but then after a while they weren’t that bad so after a while I started to hang out with them. Zuri was too good at basketball and Kentrell he was just amazing at soccer I thought he was the best soccer player in the world. This is probably the last day ill be in Daly and it’s time for me to grow up now and head to middle school and I’m nervous but happy at the same time. The thing I always wanted to be when I grow up is a Lawyer or either a football coach for little league but if I don’t do that I want to be a double dutch Manager and have my own company and my own team.

 

BUT THE PEOPLE THAT I WANT TO THANK THE MOST IS MR.FITZ AND MRS.WISE THEY HELPED ME THROUGH MY PROBLEMS AND THEY WERE VERY HONEST WITH ME YALL TWO ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

 

One more other thing shout out to Esther she is loyal,kind,brave,confident, and also very funny + smart.

 

Also I think that Daly elementary was the best years of my life I had wonderful friends amazing teachers also the best days at field day and Jump Rope for Heart.

 

I’m very upset that I am leaving Daly because I loved it here but I have to move on to a bigger level in my life also I can’t wait until vacation because I’m going to Disney World and I’m going to Georgia to see my nana. When I come back I am going to go shopping and going to get my hair done so I can look fresh and me and my dad might go shopping for shoes I don’t really know yet but I am really going to miss Mrs.Dietz and Pooyan because Pooyan is going to another school and he was a very good friend.

 

One other thing when I grow up I want to be a professional WNBA player also if I can’t make that my career is in the  Military. One other thing the people I am going to miss the most is Esther Shia Pooyan Dayanara Natalya Amanda   Kentrell Jamour Kyla Briana Zuri and last but not least Tania.

 

Pooyan was a cool and very smart friend.

Jamour was a cool and also a very smart friend + a very good basketball playing friend.

 

Dayanara was a funny goofy and helpful friend.

 

Shia was a basketball funny playing best friend.

 

Kentrell was just like a little brother to me and he was one of my best friends in the universe he taught me how to play soccer.

 

Natalya is my big sister she will help me no matter what even of I don’t need her she will help me.

 

Kyla she was like one of my lil cousins me and her will argue for one minute and then the next minute we will be best friends.

 

Tania was like one of my baby sisters because she would just be by my side when I am going somewhere but when I’m sad sometimes she is always the one to make me laugh.

 

Zuri is one of my Bro’s he was funny and very very cool he had very good sense of shoe style.

 

Amanda was my smart cool little SIDEKICK!!!!!

200 Years as a Cobbler

  1.      Now that you have created advertisements for your shoe company, what changes have taken over the last 200 years? What were the major causes of those changes?

 

The thing that changed in the last 200 years is that the shoes are designed now have any type of colors and sometimes you can pick your own color or customize your color. The major causes of the changes is that the cobbler that makes shoes now in 2015 is that it’s not just boots and sneakers now they have like flats and sandals and like flip flops like in 1815 they didn’t even sell those things that are getting sold now. The reason why it changed is because I don’t think the people that had to just where 2 pairs of shoes i don’t think they liked that because it probably didn’t go with what they wore because the only color they had is black and brown.

  1.      What will the shoe business be like in 50 years? How will you shop? What will they be made out of? What else will a company sell with the shoes?  Be creative, but thoughtful, with your answer.  Who knows, you might be doing this as a career in 50 years.

 

My shoe business will be way more expensive because it is going to be a new year and it is going to be new things going on also it wouldn’t be that great either because it is going to be a lot more expensive than it is now and back then. I will be able to shop really bad because it is going to be more money that you have to give up and also you have to do more things that you probably wouldn’t like because you might have to more paper work and fill out more things if you order things. The shoes will be made out of the same material because i think the material that is being put in shoes now is more comfortable than other material that is getting put in shoes. My company will sell t-shirts pants and other things that people will need in a current time. Also my price for the t-shirts and stuff is going to be not that expensive because they are different product.

To be a full team member for the S.W.A.T. T.E.A.M you have to go through full time training. Also the other thing you need to do is you have to protect a lot of things and whenever your job needs you, you have to be there on time.

 

How much they pay you: You get paid at least $10.00 an hour the head chief because they are the one that runs everything so instead of him getting $10.00 an hour they get $13.00.

 

The process: You have to go to training for 2 in a half years also when you go through training you have to do drills to get on the team.

 

Their duties include: confronting heavily armed criminals; performing hostage rescue and counter-terrorism operations; high risk arrests; and entering armored or barricaded buildings. Such units are often equipped with specialized firearms including submachine guns, assault rifles, breaching shotguns, sniper rifles, riot control agents, and stun grenades. They have specialized equipment including heavy body armor, ballistic shields, entry tools, armored vehicles, advanced night vision optics, and motion detectors for covertly determining the positions of hostages or hostage takers, inside enclosed structures.

 

he LAPD promoted what became known as SWAT teams for a variety of reasons. After the racially charged Watts Riots in Los Angeles in 1965, the LAPD began considering tactics it could use when faced with urban unrest, rioting or widespread violence. Daryl Gates, who led the LAPD response to the riots, would later write that police at the time didn’t face a single mob, but rather “people attacking from all directions.” Another reason for the creation of SWAT teams was the fear of lone or barricaded gunmen who might outperform police in a shootout.

John Nelson was the officer who conceived the idea to form a specially trained and equipped unit in the LAPD, intended to respond to and manage critical situations involving shootings while minimizing police casualties. Inspector Gates approved this idea, and he formed a small select group of volunteer officers. This first SWAT unit initially consisted of fifteen teams of four men each, making a total staff of sixty. These officers were given special status and benefits, and were required to attend special monthly training sessions. The unit also served as a security unit for police facilities during civil unrest. The LAPD SWAT units were organized as “D Platoon” in the Metro division.[6]

Early police powers and tactics used by SWAT teams were aided by legislation passed in 1967-8 with the help of Republican House representative Donald Santarelli. The legislation was promoted within the context of fears over the Civil Rights Movement, race riots, the Black Panthers , and an emerging War on Drugs.

The first significant deployment of the LAPD’s SWAT unit was on December 9, 1969, in a four-hour confrontation with members of the Black Panthers in a densely populated area of Los Angeles. The raid was problematic from the start, leading to a shootout in which Daryl Gates phoned the Department of Defense, requesting and receiving permission to use a grenade launcher. The Panthers eventually surrendered, with four Panthers and four officers being injured. All six arrested Panthers were acquitted of the most serious charges brought against them, including conspiracy to murder police officers, because they acted in self-defense.

By 1974, there was a general acceptance of SWAT as a resource for the city and county of Los Angeles.


I think my job will exist in 20 years because this job is saving people’s lives and it is helping the opportunity to help and stop people from getting harmed.

 CLEAR SPRING PARK OPINION

Clear Spring Park is across from Daly Elementary School it is in Germantown, Maryland if you come there is a big sign with its name on it to.….Positive because you could do a lot of things there with your family and your friends. The big kids can go play on the basketball court while the little kids play on the playground. Also It is not a very big park but it is big enough to fit a good amount of people.

 

Also the parents can meet other parents while the kids are playing. Kids can be active people can recycle also a lot of kids might want to have a party there for their birthdays and other things.There is safety signs for people to not get hurt and other kids that will follow the rules and won’t get hurt either.And there will be a police patrol so the teens won’t get into any fights and also the teens won’t bring any weapons. But not everything is positive there too it is a couple of negative things there like there are a couple of injuries once in a while and maybe there will be a group of kids using bad language.

Fight for the top of the world


There was a race in the Arctic because geological holds 30%. And 300 years ago  Europeans explorers began looking for a northern sea route Asia. In 1905, Roald Amundsen of Norway became the first explorer to cross this northwest passage. Also NO I don’t think the Arctic should come to the U.S because first it would take up to much space and it would be way too cold down here also it is just too awkward to have maybe one of the biggest states in maybe one of the smallest.

WHO DID IT…
It was 2187 and it was cold. There were 6 best friends and their name was Kuron,Zuri,Kentrell,Jamour,Joshua,and Matthew. They lived in Australia. So one day Kuron called Kentrell and was like “ Man are you trying to come over this weekend and just have a boys day.” he said. Kentrell replied “ yeah that will be a good idea plus I need to get some air anyway I been stuck in this house with my mommy for the longest but let me just call my other boys aright.” Kuron said “OK”. So Kentrell called his buddies and they agreed. Finally that weekend came and Matthew was so pressed because he never been to a boys night before. “Yes yes yes yes yes “ Matthew said. His ride came all of his best friends were in the car “Bruh I can’t wait to see where I’m going but wait where are we going anyway ya’ll didn’t tell me” Matthew said in a strange voice. So they didn’t answer they finally got home. They played games like truth or dare and playing the Xbox. After that they watched a scary movie called LOCK US IN THE CLOSET. They got bored so they wanted to play hide and go peep and Kuron had to hide and he hide in a very good spot. They couldn’t find him so they got real mad. They all told Kuron that they were about to leave because they are never going to find him and it’s not fair they are going to have time to hide because after they are done playing hide and go peep they are supposed to go to bed. “I’m going home this party is wack I thought this is supposed to be fun but it’s not ya’ll are boring,” Zuri said”. So the boys never knew that Kuron is psycho so he didn’t want nobody to leave because he doesn’t like quitters at all so he locked down the doors and all the mirrors and everything else he possibly could lock up so nobody will get out. “Aw man now we are stuck in here for a long time I got to go home and see my momma what you mean people how ever did this let us out now before I call the cops,”.Joshua said. But he realized that someone took his phone it was Kuron but he didn’t know. O nah someone took my phone to I am never coming anywhere with ya’ll ever again,” Joshua said. The only person that had his phone was Kuron. “Man this is jacked up,” Zuri said. So Kuron came out of his spot with all of the phones they were broke so they made an idea the first way was to find out how they were going to get out of the house and the second way is a way to get their phones so they can call their parents to help them to get out. So Zuri found out an idea to get their phones so he told them idea but Kentrell thought the idea was so stupid but then he had a idea and it was way dumber than Zuri’s. So they just went with Zuri’s idea. They followed the plan but next thing you know they got caught like always. “So ya’ll think ya’ll are going to get away well guess what you’re not I could keep you out here until I die I really don’t care honestly I could shed out here anyway I am 19 years old and I have no problem keeping you in here until I die and you might not be able to see your parents anymore,”. Kuron said. The next day came you know what we got to get out of here,” Matthew said. So they got out of the trap and fought kuron and got their phones and got an axe and broke out of their and all of the  boys were free at last.

THE EVIL TWINS

 

One day it was 1233 There were these two twins that just moved to Texas.Their names were Peter and Janet. And they had a very tough time with their parents when they were a baby and their parents got divorced. After they got enrolled in school their school was different from others they had to go to school all the way in July. At first they wasn’t sure why but after that they didn’t really care. So after they went home they asked their parents why but they didn’t know either. Peter went up stairs and started his homework. Janet didn’t have homework but she was mad because she loves homework. So when Peter got done with his homework

 

“ Do you want to go on a walk with me,” Janet said. “ Sure I am bored anyway,”.

 

So they walked to the stream around their neighborhood. They always set a path their so they won’t forget the way to the stream when they go. Finally they got to the stream and Peter went to go find a stone to skip when they skipped the stone they started to hold hands and yell at it. They both told the stone “GO GO GO AWAY I’M GOING TO FIND YOU ANOTHER DAY GO GO GO AWAY THAT’S WHY I’M HERE IF YOU WANT ME TO STAY,”

 

Janet & Peter said. They started to rise in the air because they didn’t know that they were evil because when they were a little kids they always song that song and nothing happen so they thought why is it happening to us now. They tried to get down and they couldn’t so Peter called his mom and told his mom to “come to the stream that we always go to.

 

“ I am on my way snuggle bear,”. Christina said. “ Mom don’t call me that I am too old for that name you know,”

 

Peter said. Christina ran all the  way to the stream but the next thing you know they were gone like they disappeared. Christina started to yell “

 

NOOOOOOOOOO my kids are gone forever,”.  Christina started to cry “

 

Mom don’t cry it’s gonna be alright don’t cry momma don’t cry Peter and Janet said ,”.

“ God is that you,” Christina said.

“ No momma it’s really us Peter and Janet look behind you, you might actually see us,”.

 

Janet said. Christina turned around “ My kids my kids are ya’ll are alright,”.

 

“ Yes mom were fine,”. Peter said. So than Peter Janet & then mom walked home and their mom made them some nice delicious cookies.

JUST DESERT….
WILL THEY SURVIVE….

 

So one day their was a lady named Candy And she lived in puerto rico. And it was a few days away from halloween. 21

So Candy went to the store to get her costume for a halloween party that she was supposed to go to.

 

Than she got into her car to head off home. So then when she got home the first thing she did when she got inside she got her huge pumpkin out and her little pumpkins out and started carving.

 

She named her biggest pumpkin Victor, and then her little pumpkins name’s were Alice,Ashley, Amy, and Amanda. She started to carve her biggest pumpkin first so she could get it out of way.

 

She felt weird about carving her pumpkins because she remembered every halloween her mom told her stories about what happen when people carved the pumpkins their spirit haunted them until they know it was real.

 

When she was carving her pumpkins she song a very strange song and it went like this “ PUMPKIN PUMPKIN WHERE ARE YOU THIS IS TIME FOR YOU TO COME TRUE I AM WAITING FINE I’LL COUNT TO 2 YOU SHALL GIVE ME A CLUE” So the pumpkins started to shine real bright Candy couldn’t see so she didn’t see what was going on.

 

That’s when she figured out that her mom was telling her the truth about the evil spirit of carving a pumpkin. Than the biggest pumpkin called his squad Alice,Ashley,Amy, and Amanda. They all came and started to chase Candy when she was running and it was dark so she fell in a deep dark black hole. When she fell the pumpkins fell with her and then that’s when they got into a big circle and sucked the soul out of her body and the 5 pumpkins turned into Candy DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!.

THE LESSON IS NEVER RUIN FROM EVIL PUMPKINS!!

2014-2015!!!

January 8, 2015 /

2014 was the greatest year for me because I won my 400 yard race for my track team and I got 1st place in my hurdles event. I got a M.V.P for basketball and I got picked to be the team captain of my team.  But then the biggest event for me was the long jump in track and field but I passed it then i was in first place with my competition. The thing that I hope for in 2015 is that I will get better at being a captain for my basketball team and then get better at the 400 yard meter in the hurdles event.
