Michael Jackson

My Opinion Essay

Michael Jackson is greatest musician that ever lived because he is a great American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actor.

First, Mj should be considered as a great musician because his humble beginnings started when he was in a group called the Jackson 5 which included him and his four older brother Jackie,Tito,Jermaine, and Marlon that set a chart record when its first four singles—“I Want You Back (1969), “ABC (1970), “The Love You Save (1970), and I´ll Be There  (1970)—peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Next, Between 1972, when his solo career began, and 1975, Michael released four solo studio albums with Motown: Got To Be There (1972), Ben (1972), Music & Me (1973), and Forever, Michael (1975). “Got To Be There and “Ben, the title tracks from his first two solo   albums, both became successful singles, as did a remake of Bobby Days “Rockin Robin.

Third, He’s the best because he has the best selling album of all time with his album Thriller and He has multiple Guinness World Records, 13 Grammy Awards , the Grammy Legend Award, The Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award , 26 American Music Awards—more than any other artist—including the “Artist of the Century” and “Artist of the 1980s”, 13 number-one singles in the United States during his solo career.

Also, A defining point in Jackson’s career took place on March 25, 1983, when he reunited with his brothers for a legendary live performance, which was taped at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, for Motown 25 : Yesterday, Today, Forever, an NBC television special. The show aired on May 16, 1983, to an estimated audience of 47 million viewers, and featured the Jacksons and other Motown stars. The show is best remembered for Jackson’s solo performance of “Billie Jean”, which earned Jackson his first Emmy nomination.

And Then, In 1980, Jackson won three awards at the American Music Awards for his solo efforts: Favorite Soul/R&B Album, Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist, and Favorite Soul/R&B Single for “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”.He also won Billboard Year -End  awards for Top Black Artist and Top Black Album, and a Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for 1979 with “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”. In 1981 Jackson was the American Music Awards winner for Favorite Soul/R&B Album and Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist

In Conclusion, as so he has passed away everyone still likes his music as if he was alive. His music will live on forever.
