Kevin wakes up in the morning and comes downstairs for breakfast.  His mom is making bacon and pancakes for breakfast, Kevin’s favorite. Then his little sister Ashley came downstairs to eat.

She said,” Mom what smells so good?”

Mom said,” Bacon and pancakes.”

“YUMMY!!!”

They ate and then cleaned up. Then mom said, “Why don’t you guys go play outside for a little bit.”

So they did. Kevin decided to take Ashley on a hike through the woods.  As they were walking,  Ashley spotted a rabbit and hollered “bunny!” and she began chasing after it until it went under a bush. In the meantime, Kevin walked ahead because he saw a bush that looked like it may make a perfect fort.

So, Kevin ran back to Ashley and said “Ashley,  Ashley come here I found something!” They both walked over to the tiny bush and went inside.

“COOL!” they both said. They raced back to their house and told their mom they had found a cool fort in one of the bushes. They wanted to go to their friend’s houses and invite them to explore the new fort with them.

Kevin knocked on the door of Ian’s house and his mom came to the door.

“Can Ian come outside?” said Kevin.

She said, “Of course.” So, Ian, Kevin, and his little sister set off to another friend whose name was Michael. They knocked on his door and his dad answered the door.

“Can Michael come out?'” Kevin asked.

“Sure he will be out in like five minutes.”

So they sat on the steps and waited for him and talked about the fort. Michael came out and they raced into the forest to the fort. Ian, on the way, was asking Kevin is this fort big. Kevin said it is a bit small but still awesome!! They got to the fort and went inside the bush and started finding logs to sit on and a log to have as a table.

After they found all of that they went back to their houses and then all grabbed Nerf guns. Kevin grabbed a Nerf sniper rifle, Ian grabbed a tiny Nerf pistol that could fit in his pocket, and Michael got the biggest gun that was heavy to carry, a heavy machine gun that sits on the ground. Kevin’s little sister Ashley got nothing, but she shared with Ian. Kevin realized they might need walkie-talkies. So he ran to the house and grabbed 4 walkie-talkies. Kevin ran really fast all the way back to the fort.

Kevin got back to the fort and he sat down and Ian said

(Kevin did you hear that) Kevin responded (yes).

(What is that Kevin?) Ian said

(It sounded like people)

IT WAS!! These people where walking through the woods getting ready to battle. Michael said (we should fight) Kevin said no we shouldn’t we would be out numbered 4 to 10). I know Kevin little sister said being shy and then Kevin hoped into the conversation and said we might be out numbered but we are younger and smaller so we can move a lot faster than them. Hey you guy Michael said want to have a Nerf war and they said yeah bring it. But you guy must get a fort before we start the game Ian said. OK the other team responded. Guy I’ll be the team leader Kevin said ok Michael, Ian, and Ashley said.

Five minutes remaining until the game starts hollered the other team. OK GUYS Kevin said we need to get ready. Ashley said how about wear camo suits we have 4 of the camo suits at our house Kevin said OK GO GET THEM AND HURRY. Ashley came back and they all put on the suit and Ashley also brought back black face paint so they painted there face with black stripes. 2 minutes till game time!!!!

Michael said he will work the heavy machine gun Ian said he will carry the pistol around and bring Ashley so she can sneak up on the other team because she is short and Kevin will use the sniper and he will climb up a tree and sit and wait. : 0 1 minute until game time. OK team we need to move out and get ready for position. Kevin climbed up a tree and Ashley and Ian and Ashley hid in a bush and waited for someone to walk bye and when someone walks bye they get shot with a Nerf dart. Michael laid flat with the gun siting up on a tiny tree stump.

Kevin saw a guy walking by like a spy thinking that he wouldn’t get shot by a dart but he thought wrong. Kevin shot this guy in the back of the head bull’s eye. A guy walked past Michael and he tried to shoot him but he moved and missed and then the guy turned around and shot Michael in the foot. Michael is out of the game because he was shot. Now it is 3 to 9. Ashley said Ian give me the gun so he did and Ashley shot that guy in the back Ian took the gun back and was almost shot but he dodged it and then almost shot the guy but he said he surrendered so he didn’t shoot. Ian and Ashley took him to the base and gave him a toy plastic arrow to use.

Meanwhile Kevin was in the tree and saw a guy trying to climb the tree he was in but before he to the top he shot a pistol that he had in his pocket. Kevin look out Ashley hollered but before he could turn around he was shot. Now it is only 3 to 8 JUST GREAT SAID Ian being sarcastic. Ashley shot a guy and then another person behind her. Sweet Ashley Ian said. The guy that surrendered was named Anthony. Anthony shot a guy and that puts them down to 5 to 3. Anthony gets shot and is out of the game.

Ian sees a guy and shoots him but finds out he has no more ammo so he found a pine cone and covered it with the makeup Ashley brought and then through it at him.

“4 more to go Ashley!” Ian yelled. Right as Ian said that he got shot. .

Kevin said “it’s only you sis” so she ran out into battle.

First a guy decided to try and sneak up on Ashley. But they missed and then Ashley shot the gun.

“Boom”

Kevin, Michael, and Ian screamed, “You’re doing good Ashley!”

The team captain on the other team saw Ashley and shot. Just before he shot, she turned around and spotted the Nerf gun aimed at her. But it was too late. Ashley took a Nerf dart straight to the forehead right between her eyes. The suction cup on the end of the dart caused it to stick to her head and made her look like a unicorn. They lost 🙁

They said congrats to the other team and walked home disappointed everyone went inside their house and Kevin said,   ”Hey guys do you want to play again tomorrow?”

They all responded, “YES!!!”
