Hydro Energy

Hydro Energy

In my opinion hydro is the best energy source for my roller coaster because it is renewable and affordable.

Costs

Let me explain the many different cost that you have to pay for a dam. Like concrete to build the dam, turbines to generate power, and then it will only coast 9 ₵ an hour ounce the dam is built. It then produces energy but it is also recreational to people. Families can then go boating, fishing, hiking, and biking.

Environmental Impacts

Hydro energy hurts the environment very little. It floods and it destroys habitats. But when you build a dam you destroy a habitat and then you end up making a new one. By building a dam it prevents migratory fish like salmon to swim up river. But in return it produces a lot of electricity. To help fish migrate we can build fish ladders next to the dam so they can get up river. Fish ladders make it so fish can get up past the dam safely so they can migrate. I realize you might like fossil fuels but fossil fuels are not  green unlike a dam. So I know that hydro energy is green and safe

Production and Distribution

First the water flows through the turbines then it goes through the generator and it shoots back out the other side and that pattern happens constant over and over.

Summary

In summary I know that hydro energy is the best because it’s green and safe to the environment.
