There was a boy named John Smith he was a good boy, John would help his mom with chores and will help his siblings with homework. Later that day John was playing with his friends, John took a break. He noticed a big shadow behind him, John looked up. John saw a big square shaped ship with purple lights. John’s friends looked up as well. “What is that thing?!”

“I don’t know” John said “I’m gonna get closer to it”

“No John don’t!” John’s friends exclaimed. John went closer and closer, “(gasp) What are they?” John saw translucent figures wielding swords and bows. John was scared,John planned on moving away but he couldn’t move, his leg was stuck in a bush . John didn’t know what to do. John  got his leg out but the shadows got his attention so the shadowy figures went towards John.  John had to do something quickly so he grabbed a rock and threw it away from the bush. The shadows noticed the flying object, when the rock landed the shadows went away from John. John was free to leave. John was tired “bye guys, see you guys tomorrow” so John went back home. John noticed the shadows again but this time the shadows were terrorizing the town, the shadows next came to John to prepare an attack. John told his family members to run. While John was running he saw a someone in a yellow raincoat, bearded, and dirty. “Hey you there” The man said

“Me?” John replied

“Yes you, come here” He said John knew he couldn’t trust a strange man but he decided to go towards the man. “Here take this book, Oh I forgot to introduce myself, My name is Captain tory, What’s your name?”

“John Smith” John exclaimed

“Well hello John if you want to be safe from the shadows come with me” Captain Tory said John wanted to stay safe from the shadows but he didn’t want to leave his family and friends behind. While John was thinking Tory saw an arrow coming directly at John’s direction. Tory pushed John out of the way so he can stay safe. “C’mon we have to hurry” Tory said, John had no choice but to come with Captain Tory. John and Tory were running away they found a hiding spot “Under the bridge!” Tory cried. They hid away from the shadows “Hey, Tory… What’s up with the book?”

“The book contains magic spells to fight the shadows and maybe even the cause of it.” Tory replied. John opened the book he glided through the spells thinking it was gibberish. “Tory what is Firea – Ambumino?” In a second John’s hand a flame appeared. He tried to put the fire out by shaking his hand but it only made it worse, fire started to spit out of his hand. A couple seconds later the fire went out “That was so cool!” John said

“Yes, yes it is but use the spells wisely because you need pages to reuse and to get more spells”

“So how many times can I use the spells without pages?” John replied

“Three times”. John replied back, John peeked his head out to see if there were shadows. A shadow noticed John and quickly turned his head looking at John. Quickly he charged at John. John gasped he searched through the pages “Bombo – Bimimob!” (boom) There was ash, smoke everywhere, when John had a clear vision a pack of shadows on horses ran towards John. “Tory come here, Cloaka – Giggabosy” John and Tory both disappeared to make an escape but they had to hurry the cloak wasn’t that long, so they snuck away to a dock. Tory lit a lantern “What’s that for Captain?”

“You will see” Tory replied. He swung his lantern three times and slowly a schooner appeared “John, in this boat you will be able to travel to different lands to defeat the shadows.” Tory said. “So let’s go, the shadows aren’t gonna fight them selves.”  

“Alright” John replied, as they set sail to save the country John noticed the same ship. “Over there Tory!”

“Alright i’ll move as fast as I can.” Tory replied. When they arrived to their destination John used all of his spells to destroy the ship. “Why is it not working!”

“It’s because only shadows can fight shadows, wait shadows can only fight shadows, i’ll be right back just keep fighting!” Tory said. Tory searched the whole city “(sigh) it’s hopeless i’ll never find it, (gasp) what’s this?” “Controlo – Shadio!” Tory went straight back running to John “John I found it!” “Come here!” Tory said

“What is it” John replied

“Use this spell” He replied back

“Okay” “Controlo – Shadio!” John said. All of the shadows stop moving. “Say a command, they will listen to you!” Tory said

“Attack the ship!” John replied. The entire army of shadows shoot the ship down, then the shadows swing swords at the ship. When the ship and the shadows were destroyed Tory congratulated John, Tory gave a diamond to John. John cherishes it. When John came home his family celebrated because he saved the day, when John got to his room he put the diamond in his drawer (Knock Knock) John opened the door. It was Captain Tory, Tory and John celebrated together. John noticed Tory was dirty and looked poor. “Tory are you… homeless?” John said.

“Who told you?” Tory replied. John’s Family noticed to “Would you like to… uh… be part of the Smith’s?” John said.

I would… love to!” Tory said crying in joy. They all hugged in joy. John and his brother was asked to assemble a bedroom for Tory and it all worked out in the end.
