Good morning, parents, teachers, families, staff, and fellow 5th graders.
I want to share something that is only the beginning.
It all started 12 years ago. In 2002, my mom and dad had came from Guatemala in Central America. It became really hard for them.
One year later, on April 12, 2003 to be exact, a girl was born. During my early years life was a disaster, bad events happened between my parents, and they divorced.
My mom and I went to live with my mother in law for a few weeks. After that my mom decided that she had to get married again She started thinking about my education.
The hard part for me was the start of Pre-k to the end of 1st grade. No one in my family knew, spoke, or even understood English or what my homework was about.
The years passed by and I wondered what people might say about my future. To be honest, now that I think about it, I don’t know what I was thinking. I wanted to be a surgeon when I grew up. But now, in 5th grade, I know exactly what I want to spend the rest of my life doing.
Last thing that I want to share with you is my plan for my future.
I want to studyAstronomy in the future. I want to graduate from High School, College, and become an Astronomer.
For me education is a big thing in my life. It’s big for my family and for my future……..
