Cesar Chavez was born in Arizona on March 31,1927. He and his family worked on farms. He and his family moved to Californa in 1938. They were migrant workers. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1944.He married Helen Fabela and had 8 children.Cesar wanted to help farm workers get a better life so and other farm workers went on strike. Soon farm owners agreed to talk with the with the union. Later farm agreed to give farm workers more money ,better work, and better housing.
Cesar Chavez died on April 23 ,1993
