Gracie’s Winter Break was very interesting.  It started when she woke up on December 25th morning, and she was as tired as the rhino at the zoo.  Her mom was trying to wake her up because it was Christmas!  It was odd for an adult to wake up a child on Christmas.  She ran fast as a Bugs Bunny being chased by Elmer Fudd to get ready to open her presents.  But, by surprise, her little sister Tina already beat her.

For Christmas she got a hamster the size of a golf ball, new boots, and a laptop.  After present opening her mom made cinnamon waffles and gingerbread cookies. Gracie named her gingerbread Gary, and then she ate him.  She sends her regards to Gary in sorrow.

Later on her sister decided to name the hamster Cherub.  It was a strange name, as strange as penguins working their shift at the North Pole (which is actually pretty natural for them.)  She even saved the hamster when it got stuck in the climbing tube of the cage.

After she played with the hamster for a bit she got to make Peppermint Hot Cocoa with her older sister Faith.  She even mixed it with tiny candy canes.  It was a fun for Gracie, but in the end she had to go to bed.  And then the many days passed and she went back to school on Monday.
