I made this picture for my book title because the Sorting hat was one of the most important people that was in the story. He was important because he chose Harry to go Slytherin but Harry didn’t want to go there because the mean kid Malfoy who bullies him. Then Harry was sent to Gryffindor to have his best friends in his house. If the sorting hat picked him to go to Slytherin then he would have been bullied everyday and probably would not make the Quidditch team. Also he wouldn’t have went through the times when he won the house points so Gryfinddor would have never won and that’s where his friends were to help him win. So that means Slytherin would win but Gryffindor wouldn’t because Harry’s friends were in that house.

The reason why i picked this book cover is because it gives people a hint about what is going to happen while people are reading the book.
I chose this design because it’s simple. The jar is what the BFG uses everyday to hold the dreams he catches. He then gives the happy dreams to the kids and adults so they will be happy in the morning.
I chose to put a broomstick on the cover because when Harry Potter was at Hogwarts he was the first ever to be a first year and make the Quddtich team and that was a big event in the book.
I think this should be the cover of Harry Potter because as you can see the classes Harry wears classes and he also has a scar he got it from lord Voldemort. the stone is called the scorers stone that is what Harry was trying to get in the story.
After completing our novels my students were challenged to redesign their book covers, but in a minimalist way. This assignment is based on the DS106 assignment (specific assignment link) from University of Mary Washington. My students exceeded my expectations with their final products. My students each have a Chromebook assigned to them. The students built their final products in Google Draw. A couple of students used single pieces of clipart on their new covers. After they designed their covers they had to defend their design decisions on their blogs. Below are some of the covers that have been turned in.
I chose this design because in the book ‘Holes’ the kids are digging hole and using their shovels to make the hole as tall and as wide as the shovel that their using and they have to dig holes everyday.
I think that this cover is good for holes because if you ask a question it will all link to
Camp green lake. And in camp green lake it is all about digging holes so i thought
that this cover would be great.
