Looking to the future and having responsibilities

All through my life i grew up at this school and i. Appreciate the teachers that helped me pass my grades all through. 1-5 my goal is to get from fifth grade to middle school to high school to college. Then a job then get a house and a nice car and a wife. And enjoying my life

but. Stars cant shine without darkness that means i half to do the responsibilities like paying bills. Working buying things and being a responsible parent and i half to clean my house and other responsibilities

fingers crossed

After 4th grade  i was excited to meet my new teachers i had my fingers crossed to get mr fitz of the greatest teachers in school mr fitz. This is what  wanted i finally got a male cool unfussy cool mini cow triathlon. Center teacher i always wanted a teacher that was a. Coach that is a teacher at my school and loves computers and cameras just like me

Fun and luck

he lets us have free time at the end of the day unlike any other teacher he takes us on fun trips like the university of maryland it was fun when we got to look. In the library and rub testudo’s golden nose and i thought it was funny that everybody put some food for testudo for good luck.

Horrifying experience

Mon day 5/3/15 me my mom my sister were driving back from the Walgreens in rockville and were were behind a grey lexus.  The light was red then it was green. A teenage girl jaywalked when the light was green. She was wearing headphones and sunglasses and was looking down The lexus slammed on their breaks then we slammed on breaks this is why you wear a seatbelt.  If we weren’t wearing seat belts my mom and my sister would have gotten a concussion and I would of flown forward and hit the seat hard.  It was either slam on brakes or hit the car and the girl. you guys liked my stories and i hope you have a awesome summer!.

My Speech

My Speech

Good afternoon Ms. Dietz, Ms. German, Daly Staff, Students, Parents, GrandParents, Guardians, and everyone else here today. I came here to Daly Elementary School because it is a great place. This place is where I made friends, where I learned to have fun with friends and family. This is where I come to every Monday through Friday. This is one of my favorite places, no matter how much I like it or dislike it. 5 years I have been here and now I’m going to a new place, With new friends and new family. My best friends to me are not just friends they’re family to me, and I may see them and I may not but to me this is where everything started, and now it ends I leave to go to middle school but only because I have to.

I truly started my education in kindergarten, My teacher was Ms. Davis. She was kind and helpful and she always told us the truth. She was the best kindergarten teacher to me, My favorite kindergarten teacher and my only one. The end of the year came quickly, the end of school was here. She left after that year, I missed her. I was going to first grade.

When it came to first grade I had Ms. Siguenza. She was kind too, also helpful and caring. She could get angry quickly but I was good so I didn’t get yelled at. I liked her and I always helped her when she needed to and she helped me when I need help. One day at recess I saw Ms Davis, She came and we all ran to give her a hug. It was happy in first grade. The end came quick but not as quick as kindergarten.

Then I went to second grade. My teacher was Ms Brunk. She was my favorite teacher then. I liked Ms Brunk a lot, she was really nice and careful with things. I think she was the best second grade teacher to me. I always helped her with everything she needed. I really liked her. But the end of the year was here, and I was going to third grade. The end of the year came quickly, the end of school was here, and I was off to third grade.

I had Ms. Funch as my teacher in third grade. It was great but I did not like writing. I liked my teacher, She was fun and tried to make things a game while still learning, so we could be playing a math game will having fun and learning our facts at the same time. It was fun, she was nice, careful, and funny. The end was here and 4th grade was right around the corner.

I had Ms Barrick that year. She was a great teacher. I was scared though because I thought I might have been held back because she was also a teacher in third grade. I was scared but I was still happy. I liked it in her class she was nice and careful with things. But then it was the end of the year. It was time for fifth grade.

I had the best fifth grade teacher ever Mr. Fitzpatrick. He is a great, funny, and kind teacher that always makes me laugh. I think fifth grade is the best grade because everything is fun. I always can do the things that I would like to if i’m allowed to. I love fifth grade, and now here I am.
I am leaving this school to go on to new teachers and new friends. I will always remember this school, and never forget it and now I’m leaving it all behind to go somewhere else, to learn new things while still using what I learned here. I will remember this school as a great place, because that is what it is.

speech By:Edwin Torres

Hello everybody my name is Edwin Torres and it is a great honor to be here. I would like to thank Mrs.Dietz and Mrs.German also all teachers, staff, families and 2014-15 5th grade students for supporting me. I am going to talk about how I got so far in my life.

First is as a kindergartner I thought school was going to be easy and fun but is I started to come more and more it would become harder and boring. I learned to read and also learned my numbers which now it’s helping me a lot in my past years. I have met a lot of other students in kindergarten like My friend Little that has black hair very long hair wears glasses and cool, also Matthew that has black hair kinda short small head always wears Under Armor and wears a lot of Jordans.

Now I am going to talk about how being in 1st and 2nd grade  helped me and affected me. First grade was when I started to add bigger numbers together.  For example in 1st grade I would add 2 digit numbers such as 23+43=66. Also in 1st grade was when I had the big event of my past years being in elementary school. The big event was when I got suspended. The reason I got suspended was because I brought a something serious to school. The reason I brought it was because my friends told me to bring it to school. But I sometimes still wonder why I listened to those friends. But I’ll tell you why. Those friends I used to hang out with told me that I should take it because other people will steal it from my house.

One kid always stole kid’s toys that were outside, and I would keep my toys outside as kid. After a long time, they finally convinced me to take it. I took it to school the next day to school. But I didn’t take it out of my backpack until the end of the day and we were on the bus.

But one of the patrols saw that I took out so they took out of my hands and gave to the bus driver. The next day I was called out of the bus to talk about the situation. They called my mom and they told her I was going to be suspended for 3 days. At home my mom told to watch out with I hang out with because I can lead to the same bad road as them. After that I have never hung out with those kids. 2 of them moved and the other one still lives in the neighborhood.

2nd grade helped to prepare for 3rd grade. In 2nd grade was actually pretty easy for me. In second grade I met a lot of people and at the same time a lot of my friends left.

When I started 3rd grade I started to be more responsible and more mature than I was all then all the other years. 3rd grade was the year that I started to learn to multiply and divide. In 3rd grade I was very bad at dividing and very good at multiplying. But then I started to practice more and more on my division until I got better and I was successful in 3rd grade.

In 4th and 5th grade was the year that I started to feel like the kings of elementary school. In 4th grade we practice our multiplication a lot especially in Ms.Shaffers class. One thing that i Liked about Ms.Shaffer was that she would make learning fun. For example when we were just starting to learn our double and 3 digit numbers she made A multiplication tournament and the winner would be able to get a turn in the prize box.

In fifth grade was a lot of fun. I learned that stuff could be hard like math reading and all  the other subjects in school. My teacher Mr.Fitz has been giving us advice for middle school. For example he said “that if you think this school work is hard just wait until next year” which meant that middle school is going to be harder.

In middle school I am hoping to meet new people. I also hope I don’t get into any trouble like I did this year. In future I will try to graduate high school go to a college or become a Soccer player If i don’t become A Soccer player I hope to make a company or A be A Scientist.

Thank you, everybody for supporting me have A great rest of you summer!

Cat’s Cradle

This graphic novel is about this girl monster tamer at traveling camp telling stories about monsters. But one boy in her tent knew all of the stories that she told, but this one story he didn’t know. But he said it was not true so Suri (the monster tamer) wanted to show that the story is real and that she was a monster tamer. However Leon (the man that runs the camp) does not want Suri at the camp so she has to hide from him. She also told a story about Catnish. They look like cats , and they could transform into humans with a special yarn ball that was gold. Even if the Catnish looked like humans tails but it was hidden most of the time. These so called Catnish are after Suri because she has the yarn. Once they got it back they turned to humans again.

Nonfarm Animal Caretaker

Nonfarm Animal Caretaker

Feed, water, groom, bathe, exercise, or otherwise care for pets and other nonfarm animals, such as dogs, cats, ornamental fish or birds, zoo animals, and mice. May keep records of feedings, treatments, and animals received or discharged. May clean, disinfect, and repair cages, pens, or fish tanks.Nonfarm animal caretakers work in settings such as kennels, animal shelters, zoos, circuses, and aquariums.

Less than high school is needed for entry. Pet sitters typically don’t need any specific training but are typically required to have some knowledge about the type of animals they are taking care of and some previous experience with animals. Nonfarm animal caretakers don’t need training because the work they do is easy and is a little similar to what vets do.

One task to do is feed and water animals according to schedules and feeding instruction. You always have to feed and water animals at the right time and the right way. I bet you that you would never want an animal go starving to death or dehydrated. Yeah I know, I wouldn’t want that either.Another task is to examine and observe animals to detect signs of illness, disease,or injury. If a animal is in severe danger and you don’t act fast, the animal  could earn itself a ticket straight to deathville. My point is, you have to the right tasks to be the perfect person.

I now everybody loves money. All I’m saying is that if you do not do good on your job the lowest you are going recieve is about $16, 490. If you do really good, feed the right animal the right food and show great respect, you will earn $32,500.The only reason you earn money is because you work hard and deserve it. If you slack off and don’t do anything you won’t get anything.Nonfarm Animal Caretakers mostly use x-rays and sickness detectors to examine the animal and what it’s problem is.
The main purpose is that convincing somebody to be a nonfarm animal caretaker is a good thing. You can get a lot of money, perform surgery, and you might have a lot of fun.

200 Years as a Cobbler

In 1815 when the company started everything was really slow everything was handmade people were getting hurt like that. It will take them a week to make one pair of shoes. They only make boots and buckled shoes and the style of the shoes are Man, Woman, and Kids. The only color they had is black and brown and the material they had  is just leather.

Now, in 2015 we can make shoes really fast and you can pick any color for your shoe and it quick and easy on the internet. Now you can customize your shoe and design it how ever you want. Now they use machine to make the shoe and it’s perfectly safe. The shoes now are are so comfortable than the shoes along time ago.

I think companies will sell flying shoes that will take you wherever you want to go. It will be made out of the most soft stuff that will make the shoe super comfortable and really fun to use.

Zookeeper

Zookeepers are responsible for the well being of the animals living in zoos. The job requires a keeper to routinely complete a number of tasks for the animals, such as bathing, feeding and exercising.

Zookeepers must follow very specific feeding instructions for each animal, and keepers are often expected to work weekends and holidays to ensure the animals are fed routinely. They must provide drinking water for the animals, keep their living spaces clean, and help train or entertain them.

Much of a zookeeper’s job involves monitoring the animals and making sure they do not become sick or injured. They keep notes on their eating habits, watch for odd behavior, and provide veterinarians with relevant information about their health.

Although there are no formal education requirements, many zookeepers are expected to have earned a college degree in a relevant field. Bachelor’s degree programs in zoology, biology, animal science and marine biology provide potential zookeepers with the knowledge and skills to work with animals. In these programs, students are taught a range of subjects including animal behavior, nutrition, genetics, microbiology, reproduction and physiology.

Other ways for potential zookeepers to prepare for careers include gaining entry-level work experience in veterinary offices, animal shelters or farms. Volunteering with a zoo will also give potential keepers a strong opportunity for advancement.

the salary range for zookeepers was $18,820-$39,996 per year
