Let’s see what everyone thinks…please if you don’t know the player, do a little research to see why they are there and also why they cost more than others lol!

February Sports and more

So I can’t wait for February. Usually I can. But this year it starts with the Olympics!!!
The winter Olympics are so much fun and I get to see some of the coolest sports that usually aren’t shown on tv. The figure skating is beautiful and the hockey is intense. The Olympic games are wonderful and they bring together the entire world.

Actually it starts February 2nd with the Super Bowl. It is the Denver Broncos vs the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle has an amazing defense and they will need it because the Broncos set every offensive record in the book. I do not like Seattle’s coach but respect Russell Wilson and the defense. However I will be rooting for Denver and Peyton Manning to get his second ring.

Then there’s college basketball. Tournament AKA March Madness is right around the corner! I love watching the teams battle to get into the BIG DANCE. Hopefully Maryland can make a run at making it in. Good luck Terps!

Of course to end the month, pitchers and catchers report to spring training. That can only mean one thing….baseball is coming! Nice weather, hot dogs, baseball and fun! Baseball season will be back!

Happy Opening Day

Last night was the opening night for the NBA!!

The Miami Heat won over the Chicago Bulls, ruining Derek Rose’s return from injury.

But the real news….the Lakers beat the Clippers. Why is this the real news? Because it was a big win for a team without it’s star over a team full of stars. The game showed that players can come together as a team and can beat a team of individuals. Oh yeah and the Lakers are Mr. Altamirano’s favorite team.

Good luck to the Wizards tonight!!!

Another weekend of sports

So football was interesting, Redskins had a chance but blew it, the Cowboys had a BIG chance and REALLY blew it, the Browns tried to comeback. Baseball was weird with a strange call to win a game. In soccer Real Madrid lost 2-1 to Barcelona which was disappointing. Hope everyone had a fun weekend and I’ll see you Monday morning.
